The Middle Tennessee Treasure
Hunters Club was founded in 1971 by a small group of metal-detector enthusiasts. In
1983 the club changed its name to the Middle Tennessee Historical Research
Association (MTHRA) in order to reflect the broader historical interests
of many club members. In October, 1999 we again changed our name
to Middle Tennessee Metal Detecting Club (MTMDC). Our
club had 76 memberships (individuals and families) at the end of December, 2012, and continues to grow.
It is our hope that you will find this site informative, educational
and entertaining. We have included basic information about our group
and invite interested persons to attend our monthly meetings.
- Our club now has a metal-detecting
forum for members. Click
here. Once on the forum, register
to get a password in order to post comments, photos, etc.
For
directions and information about our club go to Club
Meetings.
Next club meeting will be Friday, June 7.
Come to our meeting, see some great finds, and learn about metal detecting!
